A dead battery is the most common watch job there is, and it should not be a mystery what it costs. It is $10. Same price every time, for every standard watch, and it takes about ten to fifteen minutes at the counter. No estimate, no "depends", no surprise at the till.
Bring the watch to the counter
We open the case back, identify the battery type and size, and check stock. The price is $10 either way — the only question is whether we have your battery on the shelf.
Battery replaced and tested
We install the correct battery, confirm the watch is running, and reseal the case back. Most standard quartz watches are finished while you wait.
Unusual sizes & specialty watches
Some older, luxury or specialist watches take uncommon batteries we may not stock. Still $10 to fit — call (605) 845-3759 and we will check the shelf before you drive in.
One honest caveat. A watch that has been sitting dead for years sometimes needs more than a battery. If a fresh cell does not bring it back, we will tell you what it actually needs and whether that is worth doing.

Link removal & additions
Bracelet too loose or too tight? Links taken out or put back in and the bracelet re-pinned, $10 flat. Bring any spare links you have — easier to add back than to source.
Strap & band replacement
Leather, rubber, metal and NATO straps, including spring-bar replacement. Ask about current strap stock, or bring your own and we will fit it.
Watch pins & spring bars
Broken or missing spring bars and bracelet pins replaced so the strap holds properly.
Sizing
Sizing a bracelet or strap to your wrist — links, a new hole in a leather strap, or a different strap length. Counter-level in most cases.
Cleaning & inspection
A look over the case, crystal, crown, gasket and bracelet, with a clean-up of the case and bracelet.
Repair guidance
For mechanical faults, crystal damage, crown problems or moisture we inspect it and tell you whether it is counter work, a specialist send-out, or not worth doing.
What we do not do. Full mechanical servicing, movement overhauls, crystal replacement and waterproofing are specialist work. We will say so and point you in the right direction rather than take the watch apart and find out halfway through.
Vintage Watch Evaluation
Found an old watch in a drawer and not sure what it is? Bring it in. We look at brand and markings, movement type (quartz, mechanical or automatic), case material, the condition of crystal, dial, hands, case and crown, whether it runs and how well, and any paperwork, box or service history you have.
You get a practical read either way. Not every vintage watch is worth restoring, and some that look modest turn out to be worth more than expected. If it has collector or resale value we can talk through a pawn loan or an outright sale. Coming from out of town? Text photos to (605) 850-9455 first.
