Sign up for text alerts
There are two separate things you can sign up for. Account alerts (layaway payments, pawn loan due dates, repair pickups) and promotional texts (sales, new inventory, buying events). You choose each one on its own; you can have alerts without promotions.
Account alerts by text: text START to (605) 566-7165. By texting START you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Larsen's Jewelry & Half Interest Pawn about your layaway payments, pawn loan due dates, and repair orders. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Texting START does not sign you up for promotional texts. At the counter. Ask for the Text Alert Sign-Up form when you open a layaway, write a pawn loan, or drop off a repair at 211 N Main St, Mobridge. It has two separate boxes, each with its own initials line:
Box A — Account alerts. “I agree to receive text messages from Larsen's Jewelry & Half Interest Pawn about my layaway payments, pawn loan due dates, and repair orders. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
Box B — Promotional texts (optional, separate from A). “Yes, also send me occasional promotional text messages from Larsen's Jewelry & Half Interest Pawn about sales, new inventory, and buying events, no more than a few times per month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Leaving this box unchecked does not affect account alerts.”
Box B is unchecked unless you check it. We send promotional texts only to customers who checked and initialed Box B. The signed form is kept with your ticket as the record of consent. View the sign-up form (PDF).
1. The program
Larsen's Jewelry & Half Interest Pawn ("Larsen's," "we") offers text message alerts to customers who opt in. Messages cover: layaway payment reminders; pawn loan due-date reminders and confirmations when a loan is extended or redeemed; notice that a jewelry or watch repair is back and ready for pickup; and occasional in-store promotions, sales, and buying events.
2. How you opt in
Account alerts: complete and initial Box A of our printed Text Alert Sign-Up form at the counter, or text START to (605) 566-7165. Promotional texts: check and initial Box B of the same form, which is optional and separate; texting START does not enroll you in promotions. By opting in you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Larsen's at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Reminders follow your own due dates, typically one to three messages per active layaway, loan, or repair. Promotional messages are sent no more than a few times per month.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Larsen's does not charge for text alerts, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges apply. Check with your carrier for details.
5. How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. You can also cancel by calling (605) 845-3759 or asking at the counter. To rejoin, text START to (605) 566-7165.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, call (605) 845-3759, email info@halfinterestpawn.com, or visit us at 211 N Main St, Mobridge, SD 57601. Hours: Monday to Friday 11am to 6pm, Saturday 11am to 3pm, closed Sunday.
7. Supported carriers and liability
Messages are supported by major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile device. Reminder messages are a convenience: the due dates and terms on your signed pawn ticket or layaway agreement control, and a missed or delayed text does not change them.
8. Privacy
How we handle your mobile number and other information is described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
