The item itself is the collateral; if a loan is not repaid, the item is sold in the store and nothing further is owed. There is no residency requirement. - A valid government-issued photo ID is required for every pawn and sale transaction, with no exceptions. Buying an item off the sales floor does not require ID. - Gold and silver are tested and weighed in front of the customer, and offers are explained before the customer decides. There is no obligation to accept an offer. - Consignment: Larsen's sells the item for you and you keep 60% of the final sale price; Larsen's keeps 40%, flat, on every item at every value. There is no time limit and you can collect the piece any day the store is open. Jewelry, watches, coins, collectibles and quality tools are accepted. - Layaway: 20% of the total down, then a payment within 30 days, and each payment you make starts another 30 days. There are no layaway fees and no fixed end date. Layaway applies to custom orders as well as floor stock. - Returns and exchanges: most purchases can be returned or exchanged within 48 hours, with a receipt. - Custom jewelry orders of any kind are accepted, Black Hills Gold or otherwise. Nothing is ordered until the design and cost are agreed. - No appointment is needed for any service. - Also not accepted: locked or iCloud-locked devices, items with missing or altered serial numbers, counterfeit or replica goods, clothing and fabric items, and large furniture or appliances. - As a pawn shop, Larsen's is also a second hand store.
